Renault Zoe with charging faults in for a diagnostic assessment.
The car wasn’t accepting any charge and ‘Check Charging Connection’ was appearing on the dash.
Working with HEVRA, we soon diagnosed the charging socket temperature sensor was faulty and reading excessively high which was stopping the vehicle from charging.
Unfortunately, Renault only sell the whole charging socket and High Voltage (HV) cabling as one part with it also being on backorder and no ETA.
We managed to acquire a socket from a different vehicle with a working temperature sensor and put this socket onto the existing HV cable meaning all HV cables were original maintaining the safety of the vehicle.
